Yes. In order to heliski/board at Eagle Pass Heli, two signed waivers are required.
An electronic waiver will be presented upon confirming your trip via our Guest Portal. This electronic waiver (and a completed registration form) need to be completed before any payment is made. You will then be asked to physically sign a waiver on the first morning of your trip. Both waivers confirm you agree you have given up legal rights, including the right to sue.
A sample waiver for your review before booking a trip can be found here.
We are based out of Revelstoke, BC, in the Columbia Valley between the Selkirk and Monashee Mountains. We are a 2.5-hour drive from the Kelowna International Airport, 5 hrs from Calgary International Airport and 6+ hrs from the Vancouver International Airport.
We Heliski in groups of four, so you will be skiing with your guide and three others for the day. Your group will be sharing the Helicopter with two other groups, but you will be skiing independently and only meeting up at lunch.
No, these seats will be sold to other guests. For this reason, we highly recommend booking as a group of 4 to avoid disappointment due to group pairings.
We typically log just 1-2 down days per month due to weather. Our tenure supports excellent skiing in the trees, and our proximity to our tenure allows us to get out skiing every day possible. Please review our Terms and Conditions for more information on our Cancellation/Refund Policy.
Our runs typically average 500m (1,650 ft). This changes depending on where we’re skiing, and the flying conditions. The longest run in our tenure is 1,767 meters (5,800 feet).
As far as ground transportation goes, your best bet is to fly out of Kelowna International Airport, as the drive from both Vancouver and Calgary requires passing through numerous high mountain passes that make a challenging drive at night or in stormy winter conditions.
As all routes into/out of Revelstoke close periodically due to avalanche control and accidents, we highly recommend arriving to Revelstoke 1 day before your Heli trip and purchasing trip cancellation insurance before departing.
Please review the Guest Cancellation section of our Terms and Conditions for more details.
You will need to carry what you bring, and there’s not much room for extra gear in your avalanche pack. You might have time to take your phone out for a quick shot, but it's a pretty fast-paced day out there, and we recommend leaving the bulky camera gear at home.
We love sharing our guest photos!

If you are unsure of your skis/board performing well on your heli day, just bring them along and your guide can make suggestions based on conditions and ability. We offer Ski/Board demos and ski poles, at no charge, you need to bring your boots (and we recommend bringing you snowboard bindings). You will also need to bring all other ski/snowboard equipment as we don’t provide any soft goods (jackets, pants, goggles, etc).
Yes, but they need to be GripWalk or DIN certified. Look for an ISO 23223, 9523, or 5355 stamped in the sole or bottom of the boot.
Please contact us before your trip if you are unsure if your boots will work with our skis.
No, we provide all avalanche equipment at no charge. We require that you use our tranciever, but you are welcome to use your own shovel, probe and avalanche pack, as long as you know how to use them and they are in correct working condition.
**Some airlines don’t let you fly with your compressed air cartridge; please contact the manufacturer of your avalanche pack to confirm if your equipment is flight-ready and confirm that air canisters are available in Revelstoke BEFORE YOU ARRIVE.
We have 390,000 acres (1,570 sq. km) of tenure set aside just for you, with our guides deciding where we ski based on weather and avalanche conditions. Depending on the day, you might start the day skiing steep, tighter trees and finish up in the Alpine. If we cannot get to the alpine, we can spend the entire day skiing in the trees. Heliskiing is a weather-dependent sport, and each day, we are at the mercy of what Mother Nature has in store for us.
Have you purchased Trip Cancellation Insurance? If you have please contact your insurance provider to start a claim, as well as our office as soon as possible. Visit our Refund Policy and Terms and Conditions for more details.
We cannot confirm yes or no, your best bet is to get in contact with a Canadian Immigration Lawyer asap. We will not provide a refund if you get turned away at the border.
Yes, heliskiing is a demanding physical activity. Heliskiing with Eagle Pass is a fast-paced day that challenges seasoned skiers in good shape. You aren’t just skiing out there, you are in and out of the heli many times, and you will need to get your equipment on in deep snow. If you fall, it can be tough to get back to your feet, and if you lose a ski, pole or another piece of equipment, you can be digging for quite some time. A regular fitness routine with plenty of cardio and leg strengthening is a good start to Heliski fitness - you can never be in too good of shape!
Heliskiing is a weather-dependent activity, and safety is number 1. Our tenure supports great heliskiing in most conditions, we do however need to get there. We always do our best to provide the best skiing possible on any given day. We love to shred the alpine when we can, but the tree skiing is fantastic as well!
We provide a delicious gourmet lunch in the mountains, you just need to bring all ski gear!
Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered, but you need to let us know beforehand. Please make your dietary restrictions clear on the ‘Dietary Restrictions’ section of your Registration Form. Please note your restriction as a preference or allergy and how serious the allergy is.
If it’s a serious restriction, please email us so we can make a special note on your reservation.
No, you can’t. Drones and Helicopters don’t mix well.
There will not be photographer services available on your Heliski days. You can ask your guide to take some photos; if it’s safe, they will gladly arrange this.
Yes, we do. We have a wide selection of outerwear, casual wear, and accessories at our 3 locations. If we don’t have a specific size or colour displayed, let us know what you want, and we will track it down for you.
You will only be able to bring one setup for your heli day. As you share the Helicopter with two other groups, you are unable to leave anything in the helicopter between runs because space is limited.
All phones are to be switched to Airplane Mode before you leave for the day, as they have been found to cause interference with communications and avalanche beacons. The same applies to WiFi Go-Pros and Bluetooth enabled devices, please keep the transmitting devices to a minimum, for your safety.
